Solstice or Yule marks the shortest day and the longest night before the return of the sun brings longer days.
It is a time to be still, quiet and introspective - to stay at home by the fire, resting and sleeping more, eating warming foods to nourish our bodies and gifting ourselves time to nourish our souls. It is a time to be with family and close friends, valuing hearth and home and close relationships. It is a time to be grateful for small and simple things.
Please join us to honour and celebrate Winter, Darkness and the return of the Light. We plan to share our usual Darkness Ceremony in the evening, starting at 7pm.
Everyone is welcome though this ceremony isn’t suitable for young children since we will sit in dark silence for some time.
We invite you to join us prior to ceremony for a social gathering, sharing food and loving closeness in good company. Anyone can join this, even if you can’t come to the ceremony. Bring lovely food to share.
Please let us know if you plan to come.
Numbers are only limited by space.
