children's drum making workshop

A day workshop for small children - with their own helping adult/s - to craft their own special small but 'real' 10inch drum from a wooden hoop and goatskin.

This workshop has come about because we have found that children love to play our hand drums but they are too heavy for little hands - and they definitely won't be fobbed off with a toy version!

Working together in this way is an excellent learning opportunity and will give them a beautiful drum that they can have forever. These small drums have a lovely sound. The workshop will be hosted in the garden, so there are opportunities to play between focussing and concentrating.

This workshop is for very young children - up to about 5ish so we can only manage a very small number. Currently we have just 2 or 3 places.

Please note - times are 'ish'

We are willing to organise a workshop for older children is there is interest.
