Total Lunar Eclipse triggering Planetary Dragon Lines
16th May – Max Eclipse at 04.13 UTC/GMT; 05:13 BST
00:13 BOT (Bolivia)
Eclipse duration:
Penumbral - 5h 18m (01:32 – 06:50 UTC)
Umbral - 3h 27m (02:28 – 05:55 UTC)
Total - 1h 25m (03:29 – 04:53 UTC)
This Total Lunar Eclipse will be visible over the Americas, Africa and Europe. During the phase of Totality, the Moon’s South Node (at 00:20 – 00:21 BOT) and the Moon herself (at 00:33 – 00:44 BOT) will pass directly over the planetary node points where the Great Male Dragon / Plumed Serpent and the Great Female Dragon / Rainbow Serpent intersect on the Island of the Sun and the Island of the Moon on Lake Titicaca in Bolivia.
This is one of the two most powerful node points of Mother Earth’s energy grids. The two great planetary dragon lines encircle the Earth, with their other crossing point in Bali, Indonesia. For the Moon and Moon’s Node to be focussed directly overhead at one of these planetary nodes during the time of Totality means that this Lunar Eclipse will directly affect all of the major and minor energy lines of the planet, and through them will affect every living being on the planet.
Being a South Node eclipse in Scorpio, it is about releasing our deepest emotional attachments to our personal and collective past. If we can release what has become stuck in the past, then this will enable us to step more fully and consciously into the Light.
The Moon and South Node in Scorpio are in (180º) opposition to the Sun, North Node and retrograde Mercury in Taurus, with (90º) squares from either end of the opposition forming a T-square to the conjunction of Vesta and Saturn in Aquarius.
The Vesta – Saturn conjunction in Aquarius is challenging us to acknowledge and confront all those times when we may have given in to fear and done what was expedient, rather than following the truth in our hearts, or when we may have opted for our mental comfort zone rather than going out on a limb or embracing new ideas. Vesta can show us the joy of true service that comes from following our inner spiritual heart; Saturn is more concerned with doing things from a sense of duty or obligation in the physical world. Vesta is about spiritual responsibility; Saturn is about worldly responsibility. Both have their place, so when they are conjunct like this, we need to understand where to place the emphasis and how to find the balance between these two levels of responsibility. If we get stuck in a sense of duty, then this may pull us back into the past and into old ways and patterns of behaviour; if we allow ourselves to follow our inner spiritual promptings, whilst remaining real and grounded (positive Saturn), then this can help pull us towards our destiny, symbolised by the North Node in Taurus. The Sun conjunct the North Node in Taurus is showing us how the spiritual shines through the physical, revealing how everything and everyone is imbued with the Light of Spirit.
Mercury retrograde in Gemini, widely conjunct the Sun and North Node, suggests that we need to stand aside from getting too caught up in what is going on all around us; in this way we can maintain a level of detachment, so we can dispassionately review where we may have gone astray from our true path in the past, and what is now required to keep us on track with our true purpose.
Mercury is also making a (90º) square to Juno in Pisces, which is (60º) sextile to Pallas Athene in Taurus.
Mercury’s 90º square to Juno means that we need to examine those times where we may not have been in right relationship with, or truly honoured the feelings of others. Juno’s (60º) sextile to Pallas Athene means that we should not dwell on this, but simply resolve to do things differently from hereon. One of the main lessons of Juno in Pisces is to show us the importance of honouring and accepting all the varying differences of beliefs, feelings and cultures of others, no matter how strange or alien they may appear to us.
There is a Trampoline figure, with a (150º) quincunx between Ceres and Pluto, with (30º) semi-sextiles from Ceres to Mercury and from Pluto to Vesta – Saturn, which are also (90º) square to the Moon’s North Node and Sun, and widely square to Mercury. The wideness of this conjunction gives the trampoline a weak corner, making the need for Mercury’s detachment (see above) even more important.
The key with this figure lies with the 150º quincunx from Pluto retrograde in the last 2 degrees of Capricorn to Ceres in the first degree of Gemini. This is about finding inventive and inspired ways to negotiate the transition from the old-Age unconscious patriarchal powerbase of Pluto in Capricorn, to living in the new-Age conscious relationship with Mother Earth (Ceres). In order to prevent everything from just falling apart at the weak corner of the trampoline, this transition needs to be accomplished patiently and with resolve in intelligently applied stages, but with the uncompromising goal to let go of the old powerbase. This is going to happen whether those in power like it or not, when Pluto finally begins its entry into Aquarius in March 2023. So, we can choose to do this the easy way, by opening the heart and going with the flow for change, or the hard way, by closing the heart and resisting change.
I say Pluto “begins” its entry into Aquarius in March 2023, because it then goes retrograde in May 2023 and moves back into Capricorn to start clearing up loose ends in June 2023; then it returns into Aquarius in January 2024 when it is conjunct Sun, and then back into Capricorn again (for more loose ends) in September 2024; finally it moves forward into Aquarius in November 2024, where it will remain for over 19 years, until January 2044. More about the significance of this process in a later blog.
The (180º) opposition from the Moon and South Node to Sun and North Node also forms part of a Cradle pattern, with (60º) sextiles to Mars conjunct Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces, and to Pluto in Capricorn.
In Europe and Russia, this pattern will appear as an upturned Cradle. This means that the contents are being tipped out. The contents are in the blue part of the Cradle, in this case retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in the first degree of Aries. This is about getting rid of Pluto’s old power bases, so that Jupiter’s new shoots can germinate in the collective consciousness. The key here is not to “throw the baby out with the bath-water”. Jupiter in Aries is being challenged by the 90º square aspect with Ceres, which we know is quincunx to Pluto, and seeking how best to negotiate the changes. The new vision, new shoots and new possibilities that Jupiter brings must primarily take into consideration all of our relationships and interactions with Mother Earth (Ceres). If we can do this, then the new power structures that emerge will inevitably be more balanced, fair and conducive to positive personal and planetary growth and evolution.
In New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and the west coast of USA, the Cradle will be at the bottom of the chart; on the east of USA, it will be on the personal side (left) of the chart; in India, China, Indonesia and Australia, on the relationship side (right) of the chart. So all of these countries will, in their own way be trying to maintain the status quo of their different comfort zones. The real changes that will come from this pattern, will be triggered by the extreme discomfort that many are now experiencing in Europe and Russia.
Finally, there is a small linear figure of just a 30º semi-sextile from Chiron conjunct Venus in Aries to Uranus in Taurus.
These linear figures have an autonomy of their own, as they are not directly connected to or influenced by the other planets in the chart. This single line can act a bit like the self-steering autopilot on a yacht – it may not look that important, but in fact it is directing the momentum and direction of travel.
This Lunar Eclipse is a wake-up call (Uranus) to heal (Chiron) our relationship with the Feminine (Venus), in all her many aspects and expressions. It applies in the realm of personal relationships, it applies in relationship to the environment and the planet and it applies in relation to how decisions are made and actions taken by individuals, governments and businesses, nationally and internationally. It is only by understanding how to truly listen to and honour the Feminine at all levels that we will be able to restore balance.
For All Our Relations.
